Our Story
La Parisienne was born from a shared vision: bringing the elegance, warmth, and everyday pleasures of a Parisian café to the heart of Lower Manhattan.
Founded by Julie and Adrian Bruyère, a couple originally from France, La Parisienne is the result of many years spent working in some of New York City’s most respected French restaurants. Through these experiences, they developed a deep appreciation for refined simplicity, genuine hospitality, and l’art de la table — the French philosophy that celebrates food, service, and the pleasure of sharing a moment around a table.
In 2017, Julie and Adrian opened La Parisienne on Maiden Lane, just steps from the World Trade Center and surrounded by the energy of New York’s Financial District. Perfectly positioned between major Lower Manhattan attractions and the daily rhythm of business life, the café quickly became a welcoming place for professionals, locals, and visitors from around the world alike.
La Parisienne was designed as a timeless neighborhood café: a cozy yet elegant space where details matter — from pastries baked daily and thoughtfully prepared brunch dishes to carefully sourced coffee and attentive, warm service. Every element reflects the founders’ belief that great food should feel both elevated and approachable.
As the community around La Parisienne grew, so did the vision. Just above the café, Julie and Adrian opened LP Upstairs, a large New York–style loft dedicated to private events. Bathed in natural light and designed with the same sense of understated elegance, LP Upstairs hosts corporate gatherings, celebrations, creative events, and private moments — offering a unique extension of the La Parisienne experience.
Today, La Parisienne is more than a café. It is a destination in Lower Manhattan where Parisian hospitality meets New York energy — a place to pause, connect, and enjoy simple pleasures, thoughtfully done.
